Restored German Bosch Distributor SVDA

Distributor comes complete and is ready to be bolted onto your engine. Included with it is all new distributor cap, condenser, rotor, dust cap, and o-ring. Fully disassembled and cleaned down to the tiniest part using an ultrasonic cleanser with corrosion inhibiting agents. Checked to be in spec with a recently restored and calibrated Sun distributor testing machine. Bosch fiber washers, extra wide shims, lubricating wick and felt, and new plastic parts for the shaft washer as well as the advance weight washers have been used for rebuild. All replated parts have been zinc coated by industry leader in electroplating. This is a place where their business is electroplating (it's all they do) to ensure an even and thick coat of zinc that will last and protect. Bosch dust cap only comes with product when you select Bosch cap and rotor.

Cast Iron & Aluminum Bodied Distributors restored to factory finish I start by fully cleaning the distributors using a protective and corrosion inhibiting cleaner. I buy these specialty cleaners from a company my family has had a relationship with for over 30 years. They know their business. I leverage their knowledge in cleaners. Every part of the cleaned distributor is checked for wear and tear. Worn parts are replaced with new or quality used Bosch parts. I also have many NOS Bosch parts including shafts, cam lobes, base plates, etc. Some distributors can be fully rebuilt using all new parts with the exception of the housing. That is new bushings, new shaft, new base plate, new everything. I bring back the luster and quality finish of the original distributor. When rebuilding a distributor I use new Bosch parts such as fiber washers, o-ring. When Bosch parts are no longer available I have parts manufactured to specification matching original quality. I buy directly from Bosch and utilize their quality parts for a proper rebuild and restoration. Many of the later model distributors have plastic parts. These plastic parts fade and become brittle after over 40 years of being exposed to heat from the engine. My new plastic parts are soft and supple and are made from 21st century plastics that can be exposed to heat and oil. Cast iron units are fully disassembled and cleaned down to the tiniest crevice using an ultrasonic cleanser with corrosion inhibiting agents. The existing paint is chemically removed without damaging the underlying cast iron metal. A new base coat of paint is applied and tested for proper adhesion whereafter multiple coats of paint are applied. The whole unit is then baked in a furnace to chemically adhere the paint to the cast iron for the best protection. This prevents chipping and scratching. Bushings are checked to be in spec and are either replaced or unit is sleeved for new bushings. New replacement parts include new Bosch shims, washers, clips, o-ring, etc. Checked to be in spec with a multiple recently restored and calibrated Sun distributor testing machine. NOS Genuine Bosch vacuum canisters, caps, rotors, condensers, and points available. As for turn around time. You tell me when you need it and I will do what I can to meet your needs.
